Who We Are
Connected Parenting of Greater Milwaukee (CPGM) is a nonprofit organization comprised of local mothers, fathers, and alternative caregivers from the Greater Milwaukee area. Members of CPGM strive to be emotionally responsive and connected to their children and families. Members believe that compassionate, connected parenting will allow children to grow into peaceful members of society. Members support one another in their parenting struggles and successes while striving to lovingly guide children through this very special time in their lives towards a secure and successful independence.
Our Roots
Connected Parenting is parenting that creates strong, healthy emotional bonds between children and their parents. These practices strive to nurture and fulfill a child’s needs, trust, empathy, and affection providing a lifelong foundation for healthy, enduring relationships. The long-range vision of Connected Parenting of Greater Milwaukee is to raise children who will become adults with a highly developed capacity for empathy and connection. It eliminates violence as a means for raising children, and ultimately helps to prevent violence in society as a whole.
The members of Connected Parenting believe that growing a peaceful community can start from a single seed: emotional responsiveness. Truly listening to, understanding, and responding to a child can cause this seed to blossom and mature into magnificent radiance. The roots of Connected Parenting:

Just like every tree, some roots are more prominent than others, and some roots require extra care to grow stronger. Connected Parents hope to help each other find a balance that will help every family thrive.
What We Offer
Connected Parenting of Greater Milwaukee is just getting started. It is a chapter of Connected Parenting, Inc. which is based in Peoria, Illinois. Please feel free to look around their site in order to see what CPGM hopes to grow in to.Caregivers interested in being a part of CPGM can visit us at our Meetup.com page to see our calendar of upcoming events. The anchor of our group is monthly meetings. These occur on the third Saturday of the month at the Bayview Community Center. The meetings will cover a variety of topics dealing with the groups roots in both a direct and indirect way. Details about the upcoming meetings can always be found on the Meetup.com page. The "About" page on the CPGM meetup group contains answers to many Frequently Asked Questions.
Caregivers can also register for forum access.The forums offer a chance to connect with other Milwaukee connected parents in between meetups, as well as interact with members of Connected Parenting from around the country.
